What we like The different configurations of the straps make for versatile carrying depending on the situation you're in. Also the impressive durability of the materials of the bag too, it feels very solid and gives confidence to perform in all elements. What we don't like Like most duffle bags, it feels basic inside, only one pocket in the sleeve which is handy for small loose items, however, some rival bags offer more storage compartments. In certain set ups with heavier gear it can feel bulky and a little uncomfortable when wearing. The bottom line Even though the 45 litre bag capacity seems small, the bag is perfect for day trips or weekends away. There are many rival duffles on the scene at the moment but nevertheless this duffle is highly versatile and praiseworthy as one of the best water-resistant travel bags for the price.

WHAT’S SO GOOD ABOUT THIS DUFFLE BAG?

The two key selling points for us are:

Sea to Summit have really impressed us with their durable all-weather duffle bag.

This particular model on review, the 45 litre option, is ideal carry-on luggage for plane or train trips to the great outdoors and that’s backed up by the reinforced padding on the key areas and the lightweight construction (less than 1.5kg). Loading gear is really easy with the widened opening at the top and that lid also makes for comfortable carry on the back on as sling. It’s certainly made to last.

One improvement, as so often comes up with duffle bags, is the lack of compartments available to really step it up as an outdoor travel duffle bag rather than just a good-sized dry bag for aquatic expeditions.
